PolyZ Development: What’s in the Works?

The last two patches were crucial to pave the way for some exciting new content, and I want to assure you all that I’m continuing to work hard to improve PolyZ as much as possible. So, here’s a sneak peek into what’s currently in development for the upcoming updates.

First off, I believe the city needs more variety, with bigger and taller buildings to explore and loot. To address this, I’ve begun designing a new apartment block for the city. This won’t just add height and structure, it’ll be home to zombified residents who never managed to escape their apartments, offering both danger and opportunity. You’ll be able to loot new interior containers in these buildings, adding more to discover with each floor.

Here’s a sneak peek of what it’s looking like so far. Keep in mind, it’s a work in progress—the final version will be taller and fully textured. This is what we have so far:

These apartment blocks will be added across the main city, making the area feel more complete and diverse compared to the industrial and commercial zones. This will also help bring more life and balance to the residential area, giving the city a fuller, more immersive feel.

Introducing a New Trader System

While PolyZ already offers a massive map with plenty of POIs to explore, I feel like there’s room for more depth in gameplay. That’s why I’m excited to announce the upcoming Trader system, which will be similar to Escape from Tarkov’s. You’ll be able to maintain reputation/karma with different traders and complete tasks for them to earn unique items and currency.

To start, there will be three traders:

  • Medical Trader
  • Combat Trader
  • Structure Trader

Each will have their own set of tasks for you to complete. With each major update (not minor ones), new tasks will be added to expand the system and offer more ways to interact with traders.

At the moment, I don’t have anything to share visually for the trader system, but I encourage you to join our Discord or follow the Steam community for future updates and sneak peeks.

Thanks for your continued support!
